GET READY TO APPLY: CMU-Africa - Teaching-track and Research-track Faculty Positions (Kigali) Carnegie Mellon University Africa, Kigali Apply on their own site: https://apply.interfolio.com/96623 This checklist: https://qualifyafrica.com/o/cmu-africa-teaching-track-faculty-kigali Built only from what the listing states. Lines marked (our advice) are ours. The application takes real work, by our reading. 1. CHECK YOURSELF AGAINST WHAT THEY ASK [ ] a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline [ ] you apply through Interfolio with one PDF and ask three referees to upload letters 2. WHAT TO GET READY [ ] CV or resume (One or two pages. No CV yet? Our CV starter builds a plain one from your answers.) [ ] Cover or motivation letter (Short, written for this one: why this, what you have done that fits.) [ ] References: three (Ask your referees now and send them the listing. Give them time.) [ ] Essay, statement or proposal (Answer the question they ask, in your own words, with real examples.) It also names something beyond these; read their words below. In their words: "One PDF with a cover letter stating teaching-track or research-track, CV (listing references), a 3 to 5 page research statement, a teaching statement of about two pages, and a one-page community statement; three confidential reference letters requested through Interfolio." 3. DATES - No closing date is stated. - Openings with no closing date can close once they have enough people, so sooner is safer. (our advice) - On the date, the listing says: The page says 'Review of applications will begin from December 01, 2025 on a rolling basis. Applications received after this date will be given full consideration.' and still shows 'Apply Now' on 23 September 2026. A job never asks you to pay to apply. A listing that charges shows the fee above, and it is paid only to the organisation. If anyone asks for money any other way, stop, and tell us: hello@qualifyafrica.com
