This checklist: https://qualifyafrica.com/o/dw-international-traineeship-2028-2029
Built only from what the listing states. Lines marked (our advice) are ours.
A long application, by our reading.

1. CHECK YOURSELF AGAINST WHAT THEY ASK
[ ] Excellent English plus good German (B1 or B2), or a native speaker of a DW programme language with those two
[ ] A completed university degree, college degree or apprenticeship
[ ] Some first journalism experience, or a wish to switch into journalism from another field
[ ] Creative ideas and tasks sent in with the application
[ ] Able to work full time in Bonn and Berlin from January 2028

2. WHAT TO GET READY
The listing does not say what it needs. When you open their page, write down everything it asks for before you start.

3. DATES
- Closes 17 November 2026, in 26 days.
- Aim to send it by 14 November 2026. Websites slow down near a deadline, and data runs out. (our advice)

4. WHAT IT COSTS YOU
- Nothing to apply.

A job never asks you to pay to apply. A listing that charges shows the fee above, and it is paid only to the organisation. If anyone asks for money any other way, stop, and tell us: hello@qualifyafrica.com
