This checklist: https://qualifyafrica.com/o/equality-fund-journalism-fellowship-2026
Built only from what the listing states. Lines marked (our advice) are ours.
The application takes real work, by our reading.

1. CHECK YOURSELF AGAINST WHAT THEY ASK
[ ] a journalist in an aid-receiving country, which includes African countries
[ ] located in, and reporting on, communities in an aid-receiving country
[ ] at least three years of journalism experience
[ ] fluent in English and has a bank account that can receive international wires

2. WHAT TO GET READY
The listing does not say what it needs. When you open their page, write down everything it asks for before you start.

3. DATES
- Closes 8 November 2026, in 17 days.
- Aim to send it by 5 November 2026. Websites slow down near a deadline, and data runs out. (our advice)

A job never asks you to pay to apply. A listing that charges shows the fee above, and it is paid only to the organisation. If anyone asks for money any other way, stop, and tell us: hello@qualifyafrica.com
