Built only from what the listing states. Lines marked (our advice) are ours.
A long application, by our reading.

1. CHECK YOURSELF AGAINST WHAT THEY ASK
[ ] A PhD in the history of art or media
[ ] A record of academic publications, exhibitions or scholarly events, team leadership and strong teaching; for the assistant level, no more than eight years of academic work since the doctorate
[ ] The post is in Zurich, Switzerland, so you must be able to relocate; courses are taught in German or English

2. WHAT TO GET READY
[ ] CV or resume (One or two pages. No CV yet? Our CV starter builds a plain one from your answers.)
[ ] Cover or motivation letter (Short, written for this one: why this, what you have done that fits.)
[ ] Certificates or degree copies (Scan or photograph them clearly, in good light, flat.)
[ ] Portfolio or work samples (A few of your best pieces, with a line on what you did in each.)
It also names something beyond these; read their words below.
In their words: "Covering letter to the ETH President, CV, list of publications, statements on research, teaching and leadership, three key publications, descriptions of three most important achievements, and a certificate of the highest degree"

3. DATES
- Closes 30 November 2026, in 39 days.
- Aim to send it by 27 November 2026. Websites slow down near a deadline, and data runs out. (our advice)

A job never asks you to pay to apply. A listing that charges shows the fee above, and it is paid only to the organisation. If anyone asks for money any other way, stop, and tell us: hello@qualifyafrica.com
