Built only from what the listing states. Lines marked (our advice) are ours.
A long application, by our reading.

1. CHECK YOURSELF AGAINST WHAT THEY ASK
[ ] a national of an FAO Member, which every African country is
[ ] a masters or PhD, or enrolment in a PhD programme
[ ] at least two years of relevant working or research experience in an FAO field
[ ] a research proposal to submit with the application, and no brother, sister, mother, father, son or daughter employed by FAO

2. WHAT TO GET READY
[ ] Essay, statement or proposal (Answer the question they ask, in your own words, with real examples.)
In their words: "Online application through the FAO careers portal together with a research proposal"

3. DATES
- Closes 31 December 2026, in 70 days.
- On the date, the listing says: Standing Call for Expression of Interest on the FAO careers portal, closing 31 December 2026. A new Call replaces it when it closes.
- Aim to send it by 28 December 2026. Websites slow down near a deadline, and data runs out. (our advice)

A job never asks you to pay to apply. A listing that charges shows the fee above, and it is paid only to the organisation. If anyone asks for money any other way, stop, and tell us: hello@qualifyafrica.com
