This checklist: https://qualifyafrica.com/o/ghent-bof-global-south-doctoral-scholarship-2027
Built only from what the listing states. Lines marked (our advice) are ours.
A long application, by our reading.

1. CHECK YOURSELF AGAINST WHAT THEY ASK
[ ] Hold the nationality of, and come from, one of the selected Global South countries on Ghent's country list
[ ] A joint proposal with a Ghent University supervisor and a supervisor at a partner university in the Global South, with full time funding for the 24 months in the South
[ ] A degree student at the start of a PhD, with at least 36 months of doctoral research still needed on 1 October 2027

2. WHAT TO GET READY
It asks for something outside the usual documents; read it below.
In their words: "Application form and two supervisor documents (advice on the candidate and advice on ethics and biosafety) are listed on the call page."

3. DATES
- Closes 9 February 2027, in 110 days.
- Aim to send it by 6 February 2027. Websites slow down near a deadline, and data runs out. (our advice)

A job never asks you to pay to apply. A listing that charges shows the fee above, and it is paid only to the organisation. If anyone asks for money any other way, stop, and tell us: hello@qualifyafrica.com
