This checklist: https://qualifyafrica.com/o/iiasa-young-scientists-summer-program-2027
Built only from what the listing states. Lines marked (our advice) are ours.
A long application, by our reading.

1. CHECK YOURSELF AGAINST WHAT THEY ASK
[ ] enrolled in a PhD programme, ideally within one to two years of finishing
[ ] a PhD student able to attend in person for June to August
[ ] proposed research that fits an IIASA research area and good English

2. WHAT TO GET READY
The listing does not say what it needs. When you open their page, write down everything it asks for before you start.

3. DATES
- Closes 10 January 2027, in 80 days.
- On the date, the listing says: Funding depends on member-organisation slots; check before applying.
- Aim to send it by 7 January 2027. Websites slow down near a deadline, and data runs out. (our advice)

4. WHAT IT COSTS YOU
- Nothing to apply; funding is not guaranteed.

A job never asks you to pay to apply. A listing that charges shows the fee above, and it is paid only to the organisation. If anyone asks for money any other way, stop, and tell us: hello@qualifyafrica.com
