GET READY TO APPLY: INTERNSHIP: Culture Sector UNESCO Apply on their own site: https://careers.unesco.org/job/Multiple-INTERNSHIP-Culture-Sector/1347730257/ This checklist: https://qualifyafrica.com/o/unesco-intern-pool-culture-sector-1347730257 Built only from what the listing states. Lines marked (our advice) are ours. The application takes real work, by our reading. 1. CHECK YOURSELF AGAINST WHAT THEY ASK [ ] at least 20 years old [ ] in the third or final year of a bachelor's degree, enrolled in a master's or PhD, or finished one of these no more than 12 months before the internship agreement [ ] studying now, or graduated within the last 12 months [ ] excellent written and spoken English or French [ ] no pay: you pay your own visa, travel, health insurance and living costs 2. WHAT TO GET READY [ ] Transcripts (Ask your school early. Offices can take weeks.) [ ] Certificates or degree copies (Scan or photograph them clearly, in good light, flat.) [ ] Identity document (A clear photo of both sides, if it has two.) In their words: "An application on careers.unesco.org; before starting, proof of identity and a certificate of enrolment, transcript or recent diploma" 3. DATES - Closes 31 December 2026, in 70 days. - On the date, the listing says: This is a pool posting: you join the intern candidate pool for this area, your application stays valid for six months, and hiring managers contact you only if selected. - Ask your school for transcripts by 17 December 2026, two weeks before it closes. Others need time to write and send. (our advice) - Aim to send it by 28 December 2026. Websites slow down near a deadline, and data runs out. (our advice) 4. WHAT IT COSTS YOU - The intern obtains any visa and arranges and pays for travel, and must hold comprehensive health insurance for the whole internship. - Nothing to apply. Visa, travel, health insurance and living costs are yours. A job never asks you to pay to apply. A listing that charges shows the fee above, and it is paid only to the organisation.
