GET READY TO APPLY: Whitley Awards 2027 for grassroots conservation leaders
Whitley Fund for Nature
Apply on their own site: https://whitleyaward.org/apply-for-conservation-funding/apply-for-a-whitley-award/
This checklist: https://qualifyafrica.com/o/whitley-awards-2027
Built only from what the listing states. Lines marked (our advice) are ours.
A long application, by our reading.

1. CHECK YOURSELF AGAINST WHAT THEY ASK
[ ] a national of the African country where you work, which must not be high-income
[ ] a mid-career conservation leader with a team, backed by a local organisation

2. WHAT TO GET READY
The listing does not say what it needs. When you open their page, write down everything it asks for before you start.

3. DATES
- Closes 30 October 2026, in 8 days.
- Aim to send it by 27 October 2026. Websites slow down near a deadline, and data runs out. (our advice)

4. WHAT IT COSTS YOU
- Nothing to apply.

A job never asks you to pay to apply. A listing that charges shows the fee above, and it is paid only to the organisation. If anyone asks for money any other way, stop, and tell us: hello@qualifyafrica.com
